The Simplicity of Being Healthy

I know we have all done it, just stood there staring at the donuts or a cake when the fruits is right next to it! We know the fruit is what we need and want yet the thought of that super delicious sweet treat is just to much to say NO to. The simplicity of being healthy is just that it is so simple! When your body is craving a certain food there is a way to off set that craving without diving into sweets. Now I have a confession to make, I am for sure a sweet tooth kinda girl. I almost always pick the sweets in the house to snack on before my fruits and veggies. That also has such an easy solution DON'T KEEP SWEETS IN THE HOUSE! I personally am working on that for sure. I also love to supplement my family's daily diet with a drink of their choice packed with all the essential vitamins and minerals that my family needs to stay healthy.
My daughter has always loved her fruits and veggies. But when we went camping and extended family spoiled her with to many sugar based foods it has been a little bit of a struggle to keep out the sugar and get back to simply being healthy. Her drink of choice is a juice based drink that she loves and has all the things she needs including DHA to have healthy growth. Her drinking that everyday once a day has given me the comfort of knowing she is getting what she needs even if she doesn't eat her veggies for dinner!

My husband and I on the other hand need energy to keep up with our two little ones. We love to enjoy a healthy energy drink and coffee without having a sleepy crash after a few hours. There is so many ways to be healthy such as keeping out the sweets and having the healthy things on the chart to the left readily available. So, mad props to those of you who choose the fruit or veggies over the sweets every time. I really envy your strength and hope to be that strong soon. Continue to keep in mind the simplicity of being healthy is that it is just so simple.

  2. I really like my fruit and veggies and would never exchange them for a drink although I guess it can be useful for people who don't.
